zadi:
The 3/50 Project. Save your local economy three stores at a time.
Think about which three independently owned stores you’d miss most if they were gone. Stop in and say hello. Pick up a little something that will make someone smile. Your contribution is what keeps those businesses around.
(via nom-nom-nom)
If you haven’t bought your tickets yet, you better get on it. They’re only $9 bucks per show (excluding Opening & Closing night plus Special Events), so you have no excuse. Plus, think about what it would be like to have NO film festival… not too good huh? Well we all best support the good things while we still have them right? Remember the Flea? No way I’m letting that happen to SCFF! So go to www.santacruzfilmfestival.org, check out the sick films, pick the ones you wanna see, and go to www.ticketweb.com and buy your tickets. Plus, we’ll be there, so you can’t lose. Think Local. Support Culture. It will help you sleep at night.
What Is 50 Mile Radius?
50 Mile Radius was conceived in the Summer of 2008 as a business solely focused on promoting sustainability as a lifestyle and asking the question: “What Are You Doing to Make a Difference?”
We are now heading in to the Summer of 2009. Over the year we have spent many late nights working on big ideas. We felt it was best to take it to the streets as a blog and let the community feedback help us to further develop how 50 Mile Radius will be most useful to the community.
50 Mile Radius will start by posting about organizations and people within a 50 mile Radius of San Jose Int’l Airport who are doing exceptional things in the name of sustainability. We look forward to developing a relationship with you by sharing valuable information about the “Movers and Changers” and the difference they are making in education, the economy, agriculture, art & design, technology and media, health and wellness, and many other topics.
Go to www.50mileradius.com and sign up on our mailing list to be the first to know about events sponsored by 50 Mile Radius!
What Are You Doing To Make A Difference?
